Oregon Hockey Officials Association is a small, but dedicated group of referees who care deeply about the sport of hockey and growing the game for all to enjoy. We are here to help you every step of the way as you develop your ice hockey career.
Education
Register With USA Hockey
Registration Opens May 1st for 2025-2026 Season. Returning Officials should register at Level 2 or higher. You have until 10/31/2025 to register and 12/31/2025 to complete your requirements.
Background Screen
Complete and maintain a USA Hockey sanctioned NCSI Background Screen if 18(+) years old on May 1, 2025.
US Center for SafeSport Training
All Officials who will turn 18 during the season, must complete a SafeSport training or refresher to officiate. Trainings are valid for 12 months and must be renewed before it expires.
Online Education Video Modules
Each Official must complete a selection of self-guided online education modules for their Registration Level each season to meet the requirements.
Virtual Classroom Seminar Curriculum
Every year, Officials are required to take a Classroom Seminar. Returning officials should complete the appropriate Level Seminar for their Registration Level.
Online Playing Rules Exercise
Officials must pass the Online Playing Rules Exercise designated for their Registration Level.
