Each year, officials register with USA Hockey. New officials must complete all of the requirements before they can skate.

Each season, Officials must complete a Level Appropriate Open Book Playing Rules Exercise to check understanding of the game.

All adults (or youth who will turn 18 years of age during the season) are required to complete the SafeSport Training once per calendar year.

All Adults must complete and maintain NCSI Background Screen with USA Hockey in order to skate games.

Each season, Officials participate in a Learning Seminar for their Registration Level with the USA Hockey Official Trainers.
